From Nº18 it is easy to access all that Northern Italy has to offer. By road or rail in 60 minutes one can be in Turin one of Italy's most iconic city's, home of the aperitivo, "The Italian Job" famous roof top car chase & many beautiful museums, 19kms of covered portico's lined with shops and cafe's, Turin was once the capital city of Italy and should be on anyone's list of places to visit.

 

Milan can be reached in 90 minutes, it is of course one of the most fashionable cities in the world, the architecture, culture and history of this fascinating city make Milan one of the world's most visited cities. Milan is home to many pieces of famous art and reputedly the oldest shopping mall in the world!

 

The lakes of Maggiore & Orta are within 90 minutes by car and are some of the most beautiful lakes one can visit here, in 2 hours you can reach the southern part of lake Como famous in its own right as a beauty spot but also as the playground of the rich and famous.

More local and within 40 minutes drive south, Alba and it's surrounding towns are well worth a couple of days exploring. Alba famous for being home to Ferrero Roche and Nutella, it's world famous annual Truffle fair and the nearby town of Barolo, the wine of which is one of Italy's many fine exports.
Asti is well worth a day out and just 20 minutes by car takes you to the centre of this histric city. Asti has been known as the wine capital of Italy but don't mention it as it's sure to be cause for an argument as there are so many cities and towns of Italy who can claim that title!
So whether you're a day tripper and keen to explore everything Piemonte has to offer or you simply fancy a lazy day browsing the historical centres of these beautiful and iconic Italian cities, it's all there if you want to experience it. In fact many people have their bucket list full of places to visit and experience whilst here.... but most simply spend their time right here relaxing and enjoying what is right in front of them!
